Dominik Brenner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and a Master of Arts in Political Science with a Specialisation in Political Economy from the Central European University.
He conducted an internship at the European Parliament in Brussels. In this function Dominik mainly dealt with issues related to the European Parliament Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) as well as the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON).
He later joined the Political Science Department at the University of Freiburg as a Student Assistant for the Chair of Multi-Level Governance.
Dominik Brenner joined the Doctoral School in 2016 and is affiliated with the Political Economy track. His major interests are the Political Economy of Banking and Finance, current approaches in the Varieties of (Financial) Capitalism, Social Contention against Trade Liberalisation, as well as the effects of populism on the Political Economy.
