Dominik Brenner holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and a Master's Degree in Political Science with a Specialisation in Political Economy from Central European University.
Dominik conducted an internship at the European Parliament in Brussels. Working for an MEP's office, he mainly dealt with issues related to the European Parliament Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) as well as the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON).
He later joined the Political Science Department at the University of Freiburg as a Student Assistant for the Chair of Multi-Level Governance.
As of 2016, Dominik Brenner is a PhD Candidate at the Doctoral School. He is affiliated with the Political Economy track and holds the student chair of the Political Economy Research Group (PERG) at CEU for the academic year 2017-18. His major interests include the Political Economy of Finance, the Political Economy of the EU, current approaches in the Varieties of Capitalism, social contention against trade liberalisation, as well as quantitative methods.
