"When I got accepted for Ph.D. at CEU I had no idea how would it affect my life. I had vague expectations and desires of an academic career, but everything else was beyond me. Now, when I think about my years at CEU, I see that they were fundamental to who I have become. I went from a struggling wannabe academic in a post-conflict country to a tenure-track professor at a university in New York City. Needless to say, I would never come even close to achieving this without having studied at CEU. The experience changed me profoundly; I became a different person: a better thinker and a better man."
