Torotcoi Simona joined the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Relations in September 2014 (Public Policy Track). Her main research interests include the study of higher education policies, especially access and participation policies. Currently she is conducting research on the implementation of the Bologna Process in Germany and Romania.
In the academic year 2011-2012 Simona was a student within the Roma Access Program at Central European University, then she completed a master's degree in Public Policy at Central European University (Track: Higher Education and Management, 2013) where she worked on the case of Romanian Roma students' participation in higher education (Supervisor: Jana Bacevic and Kristina Irion). Before joining the Doctoral School, Simona completed an MSc. in Public Administration at Leiden University (2014) where she worked on students' choice and university rankings in The Netherlands (Supervisor: Marija Beerkens).
