Ekaterina Paustyan is a PhD candidate in political science. Her research focuses on the political economy of center-regional relations in Russia. Ekaterina is also interested in set-theoretic methods and case study research. In the Fall of 2017, she was a visiting lecturer at the Higher School of Economics in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 2018-2019 AY, she was a visiting researcher at Wilfrid Laurier University in Kitchener, Canada and at Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) in Helsinki, Finland. Her work appeared in Democratization, East European Politics, Demokratizatsiya: The Journal of Post-Soviet Democratization, and Society and Economy in Central and Eastern Europe.
