Andrey is a visiting professor at DPP. He has earned his MPhil at the Saint-Petersburg State University in 2008 University and his MA and PhD at CEU in 2010 and 2014 respectively. He has also been a research fellow at the Center for European Law and Governance at Cardiff University, has worked as a research assistant in the government of the UK and for research projects on European governance, EU-Russia relations and cross-border cooperation in Finland, Hungary and Russia. His dissertation project, supervised by Prof. Uwe Puetter, investigates how the EU policy requirements and ideas related to involvement of civil society actors in policy-making are contested in the new member states. His main research interests include European studies, European civil society, evolving profiles of civil society in post-communist countries, dynamics of policy implementation, methodology of critical policy studies and interpretive policy analysis.
