External Travel Grants
The American Political Science Association is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 13,000 members in more than 80 countries. With a range of programs and services for individuals, departments, and institutions, APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside academe to deepen our understanding of politics, democracy, and citizenship throughout the world.
Travel grants are designed to provide funding for attendance at the Annual Meeting. Average grant awards to international scholars have ranged from $400 to $1200. Funding for international scholars is broken into two categories:
• Scholars from countries that qualify for Targeted International Membership are eligible to request for full funding.
• Scholars from all other countries are eligible for partial funding.
APSA members who are scholars or doctoral graduate students studying or working outside of the U.S.
Four types of grants are available:
1. Administration Grants (£500)
2. Summer School Grants (£4,000)
3. Summer School Travel & Accommodation Grants (€3,000 total budget)

European Trade Union Institute Travel Grant
to attend International Labor and Employment Relations Association Conference (ILERA)
An ILERA World Congress is convened every 3 years, where professionals interested in all aspects of labour and employment relations meet to share ideas about new developments, ideas and practices in the field.
Dates & Place:
The next ILERA World Congress will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 7 to 11 September 2015.
March – April
The ISA travel grants program has been created to provide junior scholars, senior graduate students and scholars from low-income countries some assistance to enable them to attend conferences that would otherwise be out of reach for all but the better paid, senior faculty. Only ISA members may qualify for an ISA Annual Convention travel grant.
