Planning & surviving your PhD@CEU: an academic practice workshop with senior students and a very recent alumna

On Friday, 9 November (11.00 a.m.), the academic workshop practice will be primarily geared towards first and second year students, but 'older' students are of course welcome to attend and chip in with their experiences.

The workshop will be led by Sanja Tepavcevic (Year 4, political economy track), Sara Svensson (Year 5, public policy track) and Andreea Nastase (Defended October 5th 2012, public policy track).

The workshop will cover topics such as comprehensive exam & prospectus defense, supervision, time management, non-dissertation work and conference selection.

Sanja will focus on how to get through the first year. Sara will outline strategies for the second year and beyond, and Andreea will deliver fresh advice on how to actually wrap it up.

Snacks and refershments will be provided.
